Creative Wedding Guest Book Ideas

Have you ever walked into a wedding as a guest and thought, “Wow, what a cute way to sign their wedding book!”? Or maybe you wish someone would think that walking into your wedding?

Creative Wedding Guest Book Ideas

Have you ever walked into a wedding as a guest and thought, “Wow, what a cute way to sign their wedding book!”? Or maybe you wish someone would think that walking into your wedding?

There are many different ways to capture your guests’ attention as soon as they walk into your wedding and the guest book is one of the great ways to do that!  I love the idea of the traditional wedding book and there is absolutely nothing wrong with having that, especially if everything else about your wedding is very traditional, but for someone who doesn’t want the traditional wedding, what other options are there?  I see more fun and unique ideas all the time, and here are a few of them!

  1. Finger Prints
I love the finger print idea because it is very personable coming from your guests.  I mean, you will forever have their thumbprint!  It’s cute, it’s interactive, and it’s something that can be hung up on a wall and not just put in a book or in a drawer.  Instead, it’s an every-day reminder of the day you married your best friend and of the people you shared that day with.
  2. Jenga
Another super cute idea is a giant game of Jenga!  I love this because it is very unique. When your guests arrive, have them write some tips down for you and your spouse on the game pieces.  Anything they want to say, advice on how to stay together, well wishes and congratulations, things they learned in their own marriage, whatever they want.  It is something you can keep and definitely use, whether it be to actually play the game or just to get some of the advice your friends and family left for you.   This idea is a great way to get to remember everyone that came and all the funny or wise advice that was given!
  3. Wine Bottles
There are a couple different ways you can do this one.  You can get bottles of wine with blank labels and have guests write their messages on there, or maybe you have no labels on the wine at all and supply your guests with metallic sharpies to write all over them.  It is obvious that either way you do it, you will most likely need more than just one bottle of wine in order for all of your guests to leave their special message.  Have the bottles numbered 1, 5, 10, etc., in order to represent the anniversary on which each will be opened in celebration of your love.  Not into wine?  Choose your drink of choice, a bottle of whatever you and your spouse want to celebrate with will work just the same!  Something specific and special to you as a couple will make the idea even more unique and meaningful.

Everyone is different and has different tastes, styles, and preferences.  Your wedding day is one of those days where it is absolutely acceptable to add your own personal touch!  Bring in giant game pieces or a map of middle earth (yes, that’s another idea) or maybe something completely different that you know perfectly defines the two of you as a couple.  What you do on your day is completely up to you.

So remember, make it special, make it unique and make it memorable.  And as always, happy wedding planning!
